SAATHINGO
SAATHINGO

Mrs. Punita Vadhera founded Saathi with a singular, compelling vision to foster inclusive education and community service, officially inaugurating the NGO in 2009. Her original mission, carried out by dedicated student volunteers, laid the selfless foundation upon which the current organization stands. Though Saathi’s focus evolved, the profound spirit of community action never faded. Mrs. Vadhera's commitment was reignited when she witnessed a passionate discussion among young people eager to challenge the social structures around them. In her own words, she saw "true passion and dedication in their eyes," affirming that they were the perfect fit to carry forward the NGO's legacy. Her trust in the next generation is the cornerstone of Saathi's modern ethos, empowering young activists to take charge and ensure the movement continues to evolve and thrive. Her early work is a constant reminder that change begins with conviction and a strong desire to uplift others.
Saathi is a dynamic foundation committed to being a powerful voice and force for progress among young adults today. While our roots honor the legacy of our founder, our current mission is focused on leading the charge in four interconnected areas that define the health of our communities and our planet: Mental Health, Gender Equality, LGBTQ+ Rights, and Environmental Action. We firmly believe that change is not only constant but must be purposefully driven, one determined action at a time.
The team at Saathi takes an activist stance on the need of the hour, tackling the complex social issues that disproportionately affect the next generation. We provide tangible support, like peer support groups and workshops for mental well-being, while simultaneously campaigning for systemic change in gender rights, LGBTQ+ inclusion, and climate resilience. We encourage every single person to embrace their role as a global citizen.
Just as a single drop contributes to the might of the ocean, every volunteer’s effort is valued and fully supported. We invite you to join our movement—to shoulder the Saathi name and actively progress not just on a personal level, but as a hopeful, unified community ready to create a safe, equitable world for all.

Volunteering with Saathi is more than just service—it's joining a vibrant community of young adults dedicated to tackling the world's most pressing issues. We offer meaningful roles that align with your passion, providing you with real-world experience and the chance to drive transformative impact across all four of our pillars.
